Our client, a leading consultancy in the nuclear safety and risk sector, is seeking a Nuclear Safety Assessor to join their Health, Safety & Risk team. This opportunity is flexible on location and offers the chance to work on a wide variety of nuclear safety projects across the UK.

The Role:

As a Nuclear Safety Assessor, you will be involved in the preparation of nuclear safety cases and supporting documentation. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safety projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering fit-for-purpose nuclear safety documentation under appropriate supervision.

Collaborating with engineering teams, plant operators, and other specialist safety disciplines (e.g. Human Factors, Fire, Criticality, Radiological Shielding, Environmental) to present clear and comprehensive safety cases.

Representing the company in a professional manner to clients and peers.

Supporting the project team to ensure timely and effective delivery of safety projects.

Your Skills and Experience:

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in nuclear safety or other high-hazard industries.

A degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g. Physics, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Control/Electrical Engineering).

Strong customer service skills, with excellent interpersonal and listening abilities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

A flexible approach to ensure effective project delivery.

Due to the nature of the work, selected candidates will need to undergo security clearance.
