Location: Miszewo, Poland
Overview: We are looking for a Safety & Compliance Engineer to join our team at a leading multinational company within the chemical and composites industry. This position is essential for driving safety, health, and environmental (SHE) initiatives across our operations in Poland. The role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact by ensuring the highest safety standards are met while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure personnel and contractors receive appropriate SHE training, maintain training records, and ensure compliance with deadlines.
Lead the implementation of key safety programs such as the 20 Principles (Process & Behaviour Safety), Life Saving Rules, and company-wide SHE policies.
Drive the Behavioural Based Safety (BBS) program to encourage participation and minimize risks.
Manage the incident reporting system and follow up on corrective actions for SHE-related issues.
Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for all SHE incidents and drive preventative measures.
Supervise and maintain the plant's emergency plans, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety equipment on-site.
Oversee contractor activities, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Manage the plant’s environmental programs, including waste management and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
Engineering Degree (Chemical, Environmental, or Production Process preferred).
Experience in a similar SHE-focused role within a multinational environment.
OHS certification and in-depth knowledge of safety regulations.
Fluent in both Polish and English.
Strong understanding of production processes.
Preferred Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Practical thinking with the ability to implement change management strategies.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to drive safety programs across the plant.
