Role Mission
Our client’s mission is to decarbonise the transportation industry by developing sustainable, low-carbon fuels. Over the past 10 years, they have patented technologies to produce road, marine, and aviation fuels from waste materials. Their project in Mallorca will be their first commercial plant, producing 12.6 million litres of fuel and saving 10,000 tons of CO2 annually by 2025. They are backed by leading international VCs and impact funds and are collaborating with innovative global corporates.
As Project Manager, you will lead and guide the daily operations and planning of their first commercial project plant over the next 18 to 24 months, laying the foundation for decarbonising the transportation industry. You will collaborate across various departments such as Business, Operations, R&D, and Engineering. While not a technical role, a technical background is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
Manage infrastructure and logistics projects at our demonstration plant and field locations from start to finish.
Develop project schedules, manage contractors, vendors, and third parties, and maintain alignment among stakeholders.
Oversee technical commercial projects through stages such as Planning, Detailed Design, Tendering, Construction/Implementation, and Post-Construction.
Contribute to the improvement of our pilot plant in Mallorca, Spain.
Enhance organizational processes and best practices.
Degree and Knowledge
Engineering background.
Strong mathematical and budgeting skills.
Knowledge of renewable energy concepts, sustainability, oil, and gas trends is a major plus.
Technical aptitude or enthusiasm to learn concepts related to mechanical, chemical, and process engineering, construction processes, and fuel-producing operations.
Familiarity with project management programs for budgeting and time scheduling.
Master's degree or higher preferred.
Professional Experience
5-10 years of experience in the design, implementation, and project management of process-oriented systems such as catalytic processes, oil refining, carbon capture, or similar fields.
Proven track record of managing complex industrial projects to completion.
Experience with European Union-funded projects is advantageous.
